Our Story

A community born from the real need of Mexicans seeking to protect their economy

The Origin of Paylinestro

Paylinestro emerged in 2023 when a group of Mexican families in Cancún decided to face the challenge of growing inflation together. What began as informal meetings to share savings tips quickly evolved into a national mutual support network.

We observed that many families faced similar difficulties: constantly rising prices, wages not growing at the same pace, and the urgent need to find smart ways to stretch every peso. Instead of remaining passive, we decided to act collectively.

Today we are more than five thousand active members throughout Mexico, sharing strategies ranging from bulk buying techniques to methods for reducing food waste. Our approach is practical, realistic, and adapted to Mexican economic reality.

Proven Savings Strategies

Practical advice shared by our community that generates real results

Strategic Bulk Shopping

Acquiring non-perishable products in large quantities can generate savings of up to 40% compared to individual presentations. Identify products your family regularly consumes: rice, beans, oatmeal, pasta, detergents, and cleaning supplies.

Practical tip: Organize joint purchases with neighbors or family members to access wholesale prices without needing large storage spaces. Divide products among multiple households and everyone benefits from reduced prices.

Maximize Deals

2-for-1, 3-for-2 promotions, or volume discounts are valuable opportunities when applied correctly. Don't buy just because there's a deal, buy deals on products you really need and consume.

Useful tool: Create a calendar of deal cycles at your local supermarkets. Most have predictable patterns: meat on Tuesdays, fruits on Fridays, etc. Plan your weekly menus around these cycles.

Waste Reduction

Mexican families waste on average 20% of the food they buy. This represents literally throwing money in the trash. Implementing proper conservation techniques can transform your domestic economy.

Effective techniques: Freeze vegetables before they spoil, use leftovers for new dishes, properly store each type of food, and use the FIFO method (first in, first out) in your pantry.

Effective Family Budgeting

Expense control is fundamental. Record absolutely everything you spend for a full month. Many are surprised to discover small recurring expenses that add up to significant amounts.

Proven method: Use the 50/30/20 rule: 50% for basic needs, 30% for personal wants, 20% for savings. Adjust these percentages according to your particular situation, but always maintain a percentage for savings.

Local Markets

Traditional markets and tianguis offer fresh products at significantly lower prices than supermarkets. In addition to saving, you support local producers and get seasonal products with better quality.

Winning strategy: Visit local markets near closing time to negotiate better prices. Many vendors prefer to sell at reduced prices rather than take the product back.

Energy Savings

The electricity bill represents a significant expense in the Mexican family budget. Small changes in daily habits can significantly reduce this cost without sacrificing comfort.

Immediate actions: Unplug devices you don't use, take advantage of natural light, use LED bulbs, set your refrigerator to appropriate temperature, and take advantage of time-of-day rates when possible.
